Viken V. Kazandjian
Viken is a Director of Photography with extensive experience in both narrative and documentary filmmaking. Over the course of his career, he has developed a grounded, story-driven approach that emphasizes strong collaboration with directors via thorough pre-production work. His understanding of composition, color, lighting, and the technical aspects of the craft has been shaped by decades of hands-on practice and close study of film, painting, and photography.
He recently served as Director of Photography on his first narrative feature, Unveil, a psychological thriller currently in post-production, and has shot numerous short films that have received awards at festivals across the country. His work also includes music videos for artists such as Bar Italia and Ronboy, commercial projects for national brands, and non-scripted television including The Playboy Murders.
Viken’s documentary experience spans feature-length films such as Don’t Weight and The Power of Sports for Amputees, as well as shorts like A Race in the Sun, exploring societal themes and personal resilience.
